Synopsis

Environmental issues such as solid waste management, global warming, mining and quarrying, ozone layer depletion, climate changes, pollution, biological diversity loss and deforestation have been the prominent agenda in international policy dialogues in education and in research. The need to integrate these environmental concerns in socio-economic planning is rapidly gaining wide recognition in many countries including the Philippines.
