Synopsis

This is a story of care and concern for others even how different they are. Lake Lanao is rich in diversity with different animals who during a strong typhoon help each other to find shelter and safety. The typhoon represents the terrorist attack on Marawi and the animals the people who lived in Marawi who were of different religions, ethnicity, social status, etc. This Marawi Storybook Series is part of the Gift of Reading Project of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) for the young survivors of the 2017 Marawi conflict. These stories are based on the actual experiences of affected residents, will inspire and help heal the wounds of war. These also envision to serve as instruments of peace and development and to promote greater consciousness on the Maranao identity, culture, and community values.
