You are now half way through your preparation for the next level of your formal education. You must expect that the higher you go, the more difficult the lessons become. This reader is divided into four units. Unit I contains selections that are still

very much a part of your childhood. They appeal much to your imagination.

You can imagine yourselves in situations you do not meet in everyday life.

Unit II is on nature and environment. Many countries around the world, the Philippines included, are having problems in this area. You will learn more about how we can show our concern for nature. In Unit III, you meet role models. You read about real people who have led lives that serve as inspiration for many. And lastly, Unit IV offers selections telling you what brilliant minds have done to make life on earth better. Anything especially made to make life easier is given special attention.
